**The dinner on November 17 has been moved to the Commonwealth Ballroom.**

The Hungry Hokies campaign aims to raise awareness of hunger in the Blacksburg area and help alleviate that hunger by raising donations, which we will then contribute to the Blacksburg Interfaith Food Pantry.

On the day of the Fast-a-thon students and faculty will go without food or drink for twelve hours, from sunrise to sunset. Each participant will be asked to donate $5 or more to the cause, and local businesses will contribute amounts of their choosing.  Then at 5pm in the Commonwealth Ballroom** in Squires we will break our fast together. Nikki Giovanni will be fasting the day along side the rest of the campus; you can then hear her speak at the dinner about her experience. We will also have door prizes and much more!

We hope to generate enough funds to make a real difference to the Food Pantry over the Thanksgiving holiday period, especially during these difficult economic times. Through this initiative we hope to contribute to campus diversity goals by enlisting the participation of several faith groups, ethnicities, and races.
